Right Wrong Angle
My right piggie is sticking out at a very wrong angle you'll notice in the photo below. I walked through a doorway last night and belted it off the door-jam. Normally I wouldn't have gone to the hospital for a toe, we all know they don't do shit for them anyway. But I thought the angle was a bit, um, well worrisome. I went off to St. Mikes and sat in the ER for 3.5 hours. When i finally got into see the doc, he said "yup, that's broken, don't' even need to do an x-ray really. (he said this while grabbing and turning the toe!). We don't' do anything, just tape it, and then hope it heals up." I asked about the angle. He said "Yah so it might heal like that, but the tape should help." So he taped it up, gave me a prescription for some drugs and a free roll of tape, and send me home.
I discovered later that the drug he gave me was this. I slept quite well last night all things considered.

What doesn't work...
You know what doesn't work? When you're experiencing computer problems, and your friend says "what's up" and you express your frustration with your computer, and perhaps, in a fit of (understandable) hyperbole you say "god I hate computers" and at that moment your friend either sarcastically suggests a typewriter, or tells you they'll remind you of this comment when you're later on raving about your newest piece of technology.
Here's the thing. Sarcasm, aside from being the lowest form of wit, is probably the most dangerous form of wit to someone who's frustrated. In a moment when I very much want to punch someone in the teeth, you would do well not to volunteer.

Pulse Front
There is an art installation in Toronto right now.
Get to the heart of this exhibit where man and technology converge in a dazzling light sculpture. A matrix of light beams over Harbourfront, originating from twenty of the worlds most powerful robotic searchlights, is entirely controlled by a network of sensors that measure the heart rate of passers-by.
Last night was fun to watch it because it was drizzly and rainy, so the beams were very visible.
