WTF!!!!
Americans are dumb. I know that to open a blog (or any statement) with such a horrible, racist thing to say is terrible, and i apologize to the many fine Americans I know and don't know. But what has my ire up is that i'm reading that George Bush has an 11 point lead in the polls at the moment. I mean come on. In the name of all that is good and holy What The F**K people!!!
What is going on in the collective psyche of that nation that Bush is even being considered, much less leading in the polls. Forget about politics, forget about right and left, the man is a flaming idiot. He's stupid, a coward, mean, and has a serious jesus complex that frankly frightens the living shit out of me.
I realise that in terms of politics Kerry is not that much further to the left, but really, seriously, BUSH IS DUMB!! Wouldn't you rather be ruled by an evil genius than an evil idiot, who is only evil by virtue of the fact that he's a pawn of hidden bastards? I guess not, more than half the population polled say he's their man. This wouldn't be a problem if we were talking of a lesser nation. There's a place (one of the 'stans' of the former Soviet Union) where the despot has renamed the months after his mother and the days of the week after himself. And really who cares. If you're running some barren desolate steppe and a few sheep. But right now there is one person between all of us and global anhialation and he makes Dan Quale look like a friggin' Rhodes Scholar.
But you know as sad as I am for the rest of us, the bulk of my sadness is for those poor buggers, the Americans themselves. They've put a man at the helm of their country who in one term has squandered half a century of goodwill among the people of the world. The Japanese, the French, the British and others view the Americans rightly as having helped save the world in WWII and then rebuild it in a display of magnanimous generosity the world has never seen. They conquered and then set free those they beat. They removed old regimes and then handed the countries they liberated back to those they freed and gave them the tools, money and support to make their countries great again. But thanks to W. it's gone. They are roundly despised. It's terribly sad.
