30,000 sit ups

I came up with this idea the other day, and did the math. I am going to do 30,000 sit ups (or crunches etc. just various belly exercizes) in the next 12 months. I am keeping this as simple as possible because really complexity is not my strength. And I'm inviting you to join me. You pick the exercises, and really you should probably change it up, as there's a few good six-pack giving exercises out there, and do them every second day.

Why? I want a nice gut. Why 30,000? It's a good number, it's doable, it sound cool to say "oh, I did 30,000 sit ups this year", (when I was training for the Bike Rally i did years ago, I counted how many kilometres I rode when training, and I think at the end of one summer I had done 2500km. Which is fucking far.

So I came up with this. It's simple, easy and kinda quirky. What I'm going to do is take pictures every week or so, to see my progress. you don't have to do that, but at least a before/after pic would be nice. Needless to say i WILL NOT share my before pics with anyone until well well after.

In case you're wondering how to do 30,000 crunches in a year, here's my way of doing it. I am starting at 60, because I know I can do 60 without puking (barely). And working my way up to something completely unreasonable, I get to 30,000 in a year.

And remember every SECOND day. Of course you should probably be doing other things to get you the gut you want, diet, cardio, and some other exercises spring to mind. But that's your own business.

So who's in?? I'm starting tomorrow.
