Promises Promises
I started a new short story last night. I won't pre-empt it here by telling you what it's about. Hamish and I have been challenging each other to write stuff, so by writing 7 short-short stories this week he lobbed the ball back into my court. So here I am. It's going to be fun. I think that instead of a pefect short image sort of story (where you get almost a photograph of an incident kind of effect) I'm going to play with a longer form. Not too long. Maybe 5-10 pages. Just a bit longer than I have done in the past. I'm hoping there's enough material do make it work. However it will be the length it ends up being.
The reason I'm blogging it though, is to promise it to the world. :) You see I'm lazy and the way I manage that is not to force myself to not be lazy but rather to just make promises. Because although I may be lazy, I also have integrity about doing what I say I will (eventually). Within one week you'll be able to download the story here.
