New(ish) World Order
Should we be learning Mandarin? Today a little known chinese company bought the Personal PC division of IBM (big blue is now Big Red?) becoming the third largest PC maker on the planet. Some serious Canadian mining and natural resources companies might be bought by Chinese companies too. Makes me wonder if we should be learning Chinese.
I think in fact that Canada should stop ass-kissing our cuddly but dangerous neighbors to the south and pucker up for the Chinese. What difference does one heavy-handed, authoritarian regime make from the other.
