In the Belly of the Beast
I just started a contract gig at a LARGE tech firm here in Toronto. Frankly I didn't want to but alas my credit line and debt load dictated that I do. So here I am. I will share my thoughts as we progress through this world. It's been 3 years since i had anything like a regular gig. I've been Mr. Free and Easy for that long so this is weird. The upside of course is that it's also been three years since i had a regular paycheque, so i'm looking forward to that I can tell ya.
So far here's the pros/cons:
Pro: regular chequs
Con: subway rides to work during rush hour
Pro: Cute boys in subway, underground, office (yum)
Con: dealing with other humans
Pro: free coffee and fancy teas in cafeteria
Con: paying for lunch
